Increased Capacity For Sony PDH-120 HDD

New PHU-120K offers Professional Videographers more capacity to capture their XDCAM EX footage Sony Professional Media increases the efficiency of XDCAM EX even furtherwith the launch of the new PHU-120K.

This light but robust external Professional Hard Disk unit offers 120GB of XDCAM EX storage capacity, striking HD pictures, excellent mobility and high operational efficiency at a very affordable cost. XDCAM EX camcorders using PHU-120K can now record up to 520 minutes of HD content in SP mode and 400 minutes in HQ mode. The 120GB hard diskunit includes two high performance 60GB improved partition drives for highcapacity storage with stable data transfer during recording. It also features an optimized protocol for controlling communication with PMW-EX series cameras.

An ideal solution for longer video shots and lengthy interviews, while offering a great alternative to SxS PRO memory cards for low budget productions.As well as dramatically improving capacity, PHU-120K fully protects preciousdata with a variety of high security features such as Cybercapture technologyfor stable data transfer while recording video. If dropped, the drive is protected by a new insulator designed against mechanical shock and vibration while a 3G sensor protects data by parking the HDD head.
